Adele Welty of September Eleventh Families For Peaceful Tomorrows speaks at the “Arlington New York State” war memorial on Staten Island’s South Beach. The memorial — combining elements of the Veterans For Peace “Arlington West” exhibit and the American Friends Service Committee’s “Eyes Wide Open” — ran for two days: March 14 – 15th, 2009. She describes the work of L’Onf, the Iraqi grassroots group that believes the future of Iraq depends on spreading a culture of nonviolence. Video courtesy of http://www.nextleftnotes.net.
