I am privileged to be here tonight as the Working Families Party honors three individuals for upholding respect for human rights and human dignity. We are inspired by Representative McNulty, District Attorney Soares, and Mr LaCourt, because each is working to achieve justice without losing sight of essential and universal human needs, because each is committed to building just and peaceful communities without disrespecting or dishonoring basic human rights.
This is my first personal meeting with these three men and with the members of the Working Families Party, but I
