August 12th, 2010

September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows Steering Committee members Robyn Bernstein and Nancy Meyer traveled to Osaka, Japan for a presentation about our organization on July 25, 2010. The presentation was the keynote address at a benefit concert held on our behalf at Osaka Jogakuin College. The benefit was sponsored by a Japanese donor who also wrote and performed a song dedicated to September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. The presentation, entitled “Prioritizing Peace, a presentation of words and song” featured a brief history of our organization, as well as original music by Peaceful Tomorrows members Derrill Bodley and Robyn Bernstein. A copy of the presentation will be available here soon (please check back later).

While in Japan, Robyn & Nancy also met with members of other peace groups and visited the Hiroshima Peace Park. There they were guided by hibakusha Mr. James Morikawa, and interviewed by the Hiroshima newspaper, Chugoku Shimbun.
