Afghanistan: Ending a Failed Military Strategy Report

On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 members of a number of organizations opposed to the military strategy in Afghanistan met in the offices of Senators John Kerry and Edward Kennedy to present the Peaceful Tomorrows report, “Afghanistan: Ending a Failed Military Strategy.”

Present representing Peaceful Tomorrows were Terry Rockefeller, Wright Salisbury, Terry Greene and Antonio Aversano. Nate Goldshlag represented Veterans for Peace; Sarah Furho represented Military Families Speak Out; Rev. Beulah Koulouris represented the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts; and Jayad Fakharzadeh represented MoveOn.org.

Representing Senator Kerry’s office were Stephen Meunier and James Chisholm.  Representing Senator Kennedy’s office was Tom Crohan.
