In April, September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows urged Spitzer to reject a law that “equates immigrants with terrorists.” In a statement, the organization said, “We are deeply troubled that 9/11 is again being used as a means to justify legislation which unfairly targets immigrants and jeopardizes the privacy of United States citizens.”
