Mothers Day Speech

by Paula Shapiro

In many ways it feels so strange to have the death of my son Eric, something so very personal, tied to September 11th, a very public national crisis. But, it is this kind of bittersweet opportunity that we of peaceful tomorrows try to use to form a bridge of non violence. We seek to use our personal loss to help understand and heal the experience, and the underpinnings, of September 11th.

September 11th families for peaceful tomorrows is a group made up of family members of people who died on September 11th and their friends and supporters; we are dedicated to non-violence.
