Peaceful Tomorrows with Eyes Wide Open in Philadelphia

The next leg of Eyes Wide Open Exhibit is Philadelphia on July 1 – 4, 2005 where it will be located in the plaza leading up to the liberty bell exhibit. More than 20, 000 visitors per day are expected. This will mark the first time that the civilian shoes will be marked with the names and ages of the Iraqi slain, making clearer the face of the human cost of war. Please join us in Philadelphia to highlight this horrible price paid to wage war.

Civilian Casualties in Iraq

We do not know how many Iraqi civilians have been killed since the beginning of the war and occupation. The website estimates Iraqi civilian deaths from 22,353 to 25,341 as of June 21, 2005. The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health published their statistical study of Iraqi deaths in the world
