International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda

On this, the International Day of Reflection on the 1994
Genocide in Rwanda, we wish to add our voices to those who remember and
honor all Rwandans who lost their lives, their future, and their
well-being 14 years ago in the tragedy we recognize as genocide. We
know this is truly a difficult time all Rwandans and that the sadness
and horror is most poignant when looking back. We honor the work
Rwandans are doing to look and move forward toward a society that
believes in and upholds human rights, strives to find alternatives to
violence and armed conflict, and toward health and happiness for all
Rwandans. Your pain is also the pain of the world, and is shared.
