Commemorate the 5th anniversary of 9/11 with a special screening of Encounter Point and a panel from September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, an organization of family members of those killed on September 11th who have united to turn their grief into action for peace. Encounter Point focuses on the commonality of loss and the efforts of the few to make a difference. Like the 9/11 family members of Peaceful Tomorrows, the bereaved families in this film have rejected violent retaliation and are seeking to build a secure, peaceful future. After the screening, September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows bring together one of the film’s participants, Robi Damelin, an Israeli mother whose son was killed by a sniper, with Palestinian Nadwa Sarandah who lost her sister in 2002 for a special panel discussion.
