In Commemoration of the 19th Anniversary of 9/11/2001
join us on September 8, 2020 at 2pm EST
for a virtual Round Table Discussion:

Facing Trauma: The Intersection of Healing and Justice

Left to right: Marina Cantacuzino of The Forgiveness Project;
Fr. Michael Lapsley of the Institute for Healing of Memories – North America;
PT members Andrea LeBlanc who lost her husband and Iryna Muha who lost her father.

The members of September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows have worked for 19 years to turn the trauma and grief their families experienced into action for peace. We see a similar need for resiliency, merged with advocacy, arise as our lives are besieged by institutional racism, violence, and COVID-19.

In recognition of this 19th commemoration of 9/11, we will join with our international allies as we acknowledge our common experience with everyone affected by violence throughout the world. Together we will consider how engagement in advocacy has helped us heal. In sharing our experiences we seek to give hope to others who are experiencing their own trauma and grief.

Our special guests will be Marina Cantacuzino, founder of The Forgiveness Project and Father Michael Lapsley, founder of the Institute for Healing of Memories – North America. Additional speakers are PT members Andrea LeBlanc and Iryna Muha.

Moderators will be PT Founding Member Phyllis Rodriguez and Intern Nick Perrotti.

We look forward to seeing you.
