Local Mother of 9/11 Victim Reacts to Bin Laden Death

May 2nd, 2011

From Fox23 News, Albany, NY
Reported by: Walt McClure

Many Capital Region families were touched deeply by the 9/11 attacks – but none more so than those families who actually lost loved ones that day.

Among them – Anne Mulderry of Columbia County who lost her son Stephen.

She says while this does not bring her peace, it does bring a sense of justice done for the crimes that were committed on 9/11.

Anne Mulderry, mother of victim Stephen Mulderry, says she is not angry because hatred does neither her or anyone else any good – and she still believes in looking for the good in others even where there might not be an outward evidence of it.

Mulderry says, “I cannot celebrate the death of another human being. I can say that the stilling of a voice of hatred is a good thing.”
