Sense of Relief, But Little Joy: Local mothers of 9/11 victims say they take little pleasure in the killing of Osama bin Laden
“I felt sad,” said Anne Mulderry.
A phone call shook Mulderry out of her sleep Sunday night at 11:15. Her youngest son, Andrew called to tell his mother that the man responsible for killing Stephen Mulberry, the sixth of Anne’s eight children and the one closest to Andrew, was dead.
“I don’t know why I feel so sad,” Mulderry said. “I still believe in justice, but I guess it’s because this is more death that’s seen as part of the solution.”
