They offered specific evidence related to everything from the killing and injuring of innocent civilians and unarmed combatants, to racism and sexism in the military, to their experiences since coming home. Timed to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, this historic event was the largest gathering to date of the members of IVAW. LAONF is working to end the sectarian and political violence between Iraqis, so that Iraq can have a stable, peaceful and prosperous future, free from U.S. occupation.
