Peaceful Tomorrows Begin With What We Do Today

APRIL 2016

“Terrified: Reimagining How We Respond To Acts of Terrorism:” PT members, Terry Rockefeller and Phyllis Rodriguez just attended this amnesty international conference in Miami, FL sharing the panel with Assia Boundaoui and Moustafa Bayoumi to discuss the issues at hand.

Rule Of Law Committee: Peaceful Tomorrows (PT) is now part of the NGO observer pool at the Guantánamo Naval Base. Unfortunately, the upcoming pretrial sessions scheduled to be held the week of April 4 and April 11 were abruptly cancelled by the trial judge last Friday. It is unclear why the hearings were cancelled, or when they will be re-scheduled. Future hearings are slated for the weeks of May 30; July 18; July 25 and August 26. Please contact Committee Chair, Colleen Kelly, at if you are a PT member and would like to attend these hearings and to ask her about ways you can attend the CCTV sessions at Fort Meade.

We Inspire!

A seventeen year old who attends a special education school writes:
“I lost my dad to cancer when I was almost fifteen. I realized after my dad died that there are other people grieving all over the world. I admire how you turn grief of people like me into work for a peaceful world…..I wish that there were more organizations that came to schools like mine and educated kids on peace such as teaching students there is a peacefuller way than always going to war. Thank you again for your work.”
