Boots to be part of Iraq war exhibit

"Eyes Wide Open," an exhibit on the human cost of the Iraq war, will be in Charlotte on Nov. 10-12 at Spirit Square.The exhibit features 62 pairs of boots honoring fallen servicemen and servicewomen from North Carolina, a display of shoes to memorialize the Iraqis killed in the conflict and a multimedia display exploring the history, cost and consequences of the war.

The exhibit also will include screenings of two documentaries, "The Ground Truth" and "Arlington West." The free exhibit is open to the public.

"Eyes Wide Open" is sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee Project Voice Southeast, Charlotte Friends Meeting, CodePink, Davidson Friends Meeting, Greenville Friends Meeting, September 11th Families For Peaceful Tomorrows and others.
